POKOTABI / PLACES WORTH A DETOUR
Switch FORUM
A Pontocho bar where you can enjoy a cocktail overlooking the Kamo River. Rather than choosing from a menu, tell the staff what you like and ask for a recommendation. One guest particularly enjoyed an original cocktail made with Kyoho grape gin.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Look out over the Kamo River and ask for a cocktail to suit your mood. At Switch FORUM, guests say they were able to describe their preferences and have a drink made for them, despite there being no menu. One particularly enjoyed an original cocktail made with Kyoho grape gin. Even if you don't have a particular brand or classic cocktail in mind, you can start with the flavours you like.
The bar is on the 3th floor of a building along Pontocho-dori. Guests drawn by the river view have described sipping drinks while watching the river at night and cars and bicycles passing on the opposite bank. One reviewer also mentioned looking down at the river from the counter. It's a place to take your time over a drink and the view.
One guest said they enjoyed their first visit to a bar while getting advice on what to order. The drinks selection also includes beer and wine, as well as cocktails, so you could start with whichever sounds good.
